Our mission is to help our clients maximize their after-tax profits while staying out of trouble. This involves all facets of our accounting and legal practice – cash flow management, financing, planning for growth. Saving on taxes and staying out of trouble with taxing authorities is only a part of what we do, but tax planning and problem management is what built our reputation.

TAX PLANNING

We encourage clients to consult us throughout the year when they have questions. Frequently asked tax questions include whether to lease or buy equipment, whether to buy or rent office space, whether to buy equipment in the current year or wait until the following year, whether to structure a sale as a section 1031 like kind exchange, timing on the sale of securities, how to make sure start up expenses can be deducted. People who wait to ask questions when tax returns are due often lose the chance to arrange business transactions in ways that will save on taxes.

TAX RETURN PREPARATION

We are not the least expensive tax professionals, but our fees are competitive and affordable by small businesses. More important, the quality of our work is good. We are willing to take aggressive positions, but when we do, we make sure to have relevant regulations and case law to support our position. Our clients’ tax returns don’t tend to be audited by the IRS; but in the few cases where they are, we usually win. That’s because we “audit-proof” your tax return as we prepare it, and we tell you what documents you need to save to prove up your tax return in the event of an IRS audit.

SOLVING TAX PROBLEMS

If you have gotten behind on your taxes, or if you’re facing an IRS audit, we can help. Sometimes people really can settle their tax debts with the IRS for “pennies on the dollar” by making an Offer in Compromise. But if you’re not a good candidate for an Offer in Compromise, we’ll be honest with you and will give you alternatives that will actually work for you. We won’t take your money unless you have good chances of winning.
